“Proper Footwork” -Golf Game Tips
Keep these footwork fundamentals in mind.
Distance between your feet should be hip or shoulder width to allow for proper hip rotation throughout the swing. Longer clubs like the driver can be slightly wider and shorter clubs like the wedge can be slightly narrower.
Distribute your weight properly over your feet. Weight should be distributed evenly on both legs and between your heels and the balls of your feet. This will allow for balance throughout the swing.
Point your toes properly. Preferably, right foot straight and left foot slightly outward. (For right handlers) Having your toes pointed too far in our out will restrict hip motion.
These fundamentals will help establish a firm foundation for your swing that will enable you to build on.
